Tomorrow is the big day! I grew up making a big deal out of my birthday and the birthdays of others. One of the things my mom would do, is buy me a new outfit to wear to school on my birthday. I always wanted to look my best! Which is why it's hard for me not to do anything on my birthday as an adult. My fiance on the other hand, does not like to do much and if it were up to him, he wouldn't do a thing to celebrate! Luckily he has me (haha) who will celebrate for him even if he chooses not too :-p
I was born in 1986 so I grew up listening to 90s and early 2000s music. I am stuck in that area musically. When I was turning 25
(or maybe 27 can't remember, and no it's not because of "old age"), I threw a 90s party and I knew that was the last "party" I would have at my first apartment. It was fun, and I'm glad I got to get that out of my system. It was important to me THEN to spend my birthday with friends, and have dinner with the family before going out. This year, I choose to spend it with my family. As I grow older, I feel that I have valued family even more. Especially because I don't live in the same city as them and we never know what tomorrow brings.
Stay tuned for tomorrows blog followed by a post-birthday read on how I spent the day! Also follow on Instagram stories to celebrate with me :)
