3 Best Spots to See Bluebonnets Now in North Texas

We are nearing the 3rd week of April which I heard, is the best time to see Bluebonnets in full bloom! While, yes, there are many spots in North Texas in which you can see Bluebonnets, unfortunately some spots that you will find via google search no longer exist due to construction, or closed because of the pandemic aftermath that we are still facing.

I personally visited a few places that I too, found online, and ran into the issues mentioned previously. To avoid you from visiting a spot that may not contain bluebonnets, I am sharing The 3 Best Spots to See Bluebonnets Now in North Texas.

Note: Please try not to trample on bluebonnets or pick them. In order for these spots to continue to bloom every year, the bluebonnets need to come to seed.

Bluebonnet Trail- Plano, Texas 75023

While I didn’t walk the entire Bluebonnet Trail in Plano, TX, to be short and specific, locate the sign! After a short walk you will see a small field of bluebonnets, enough to get a great photo! The great thing about this trail is there is a parking lot close by so you don’t need to pull over on the side of the road to get a great pic!

Rowlett Road- Rowlett, Texas

This is one of my favorite spots because it’s an open field surrounded by tall trees. You wouldn’t even think this spot is right along a major road in Rowlett. Close to apartments, there is a small parking space to keep you and your family safe while you get your pics!

Bluebonnet Park- Ennis, Texas
201 US-287, Ennis, TX 75119

First of all, Bluebonnet Park is CUTE! Secondly, take an extra pair of shoes in case you wanted to continue on with the trail! This park is quite beautiful and with the right angles, you will get some wonderful photos! While you visit Ennis, grab lunch in Downtown which is only 3.5 miles away!

I visited these spots during the 1st week of April and these photos don’t do these parks and trails justice! As we move further into the month, these Bluebonnets will only transform into full bloom! Highly recommend you take a visit and take your camera!

There are SO many other spots in North Texas. Where will you be visit Bluebonnets at this year?
